During a meeting with the National Youth Service Corps management and Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Nigeria on Tuesday, JAMB Registrar Prof Ishaq Oloyede claimed JAMB had yet to issue results owing to internal review.

He added that the examination body will not release results until allegations of examination malpractices are received and that just 60% of results were received after the weekend examinations.

"We have no excuse not to reveal the results," Oloyede added, "but we are also undertaking an internal review." One, we would not want to end up in a position where you announce findings and then start withdrawing some; thus, we've urged individuals to submit a report, particularly of malpractices. And on the first day after the results were ready, we studied the report and discovered that around 40% of it was missing. So, what's the point of releasing 60% and causing confusion? We have said that we would not reveal the results until all reports of examination malpractices have been received.

He went on to say that the findings are available, but that "we feel we need all of the reports; we have around 70% of the reports updated now, but we want 100%."

"The results will be available; for example, I was assured that the exam scheduled for Saturday has been finished. The findings are in, and when I come to the office today, I'll approve it and send it out," Oloyede added.
