English Language Education Course Requirements For Admission Into University, Polytechnic, And College Of Education In Nigeria.

English Language as a course is under the Faculty of Education, and it is definitely about the study of English as a language as a whole, including it's history, it's development, and other things that has made it up. English happens to be one of the International Auxiliary Languages that is available for conversation between nations who does and doesn't speak it as their primary language. People need to be taught this language since there are various components in which it is made of. The language has to be transferred from generations to generations, that's why it is studied and taught in order to render and produce the best off it.

In Nigerian tertiary school institutions, there are criteria for students to meet up with just like every other courses before they could be admitted to study the course. The SSCE or UTME exams results with specific subjects combined are the main things required.

SSCE or Olevel results from examinations such as NECO and WAEC, and UTME. In SSCE, up to nine (9) subjects are registered by students to test if they are ready and capable on a particular course they wish to study in any tertiary school institution of their choice.

Any Trade Subject of your choice


UTME examinations by JAMB normally requires three to four subjects which is  usually 90% elective subjects - subjects that are related to careers.

The subjects required to study English Language as an 'Education' course are usually out of the study area, Arts.
